Follow the below steps to install Umplayer open-source media player in ubuntu:

Before starting the installation of Umplayer open-source media player we have to install the required repository for that as Umplayer multimedia player is not a part of the default repository of Ubuntu. So here I am going to install the getdeb repository from where we will get the Umplayer package.

Follow the below command to download the getdeb repository .deb package.

Here I have downloaded the getdeb repository package to install Umplayer open-source media player package. Refer to the output below.

After installing the repository just update the packages and repository of Ubuntu using the below command.

To open the application just type the command umplayer on shell prompt. Refer to the command below.
